Yes, we at GHBC have in a small way become part of the Gibson marketing machine. It's a bit puzzling since the recent Gospel of John film was so unrecognized by evangelicals, despite every single word of dialogue being a biblical quote, and despite some good acting and production values. But hey, if Pastor Lewis has seen it and thinks it's edifying, I'll trust him on it. Harry sure thinks it is.

If anyone wants to see The Passion a day early (7PM on Tuesday the 24th), and for free, let me know. [EDIT]: we rented two full showings and apparently all the tickets are spoken for. I think Mrs. Shotgun and I plan to go see it Wednesday night. [2ND EDIT] By the above I have no desire to fling criticism at my brothers and sisters just to sound uppity, detached, ironic, and/or Above It All. This guy Adeodatus expresses my trepidation about the movie perfectly. I wish I could write and think like him.

This is gold standard of Jesus moviemaking to me. I absolutely love Brian Deacon's acting. Amazingly you can view a RealPlayer version of The Jesus Film online in 60 different languages.
